John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr, (Richard Starkey)
"Ringo Starr" sounded like a cowboy name, which suited young Richard Starkey's love of Western movies. "Ringo" came from his fondness for wearing rings. ("Why do you wear so many rings on your fingers?" "Because I can't fit them all through my nose!") "Starr" came from a promoter wanting to bill Starkey's solo drumming spot as "Starr Time".
He lived in a section called, Dingle, which was the subject of many a joke.
He missed a lot of school because he had many illneses.
