Some where in France.
If you mean Franz Haydn, he is often called the Father of the Symphony or the father of the String Quartet. He was one of the most distinguished composers of the classical period and wrote over 340 hours of classical music, more than Bach, Handel, Mozart and Beethoven. In his time, he was known all over Europe and was considered to the the greatest living composer. He is famous for his Symphony 94, The Surprise and his epic Oratorio, The Creation, as well as many other great works
In general it is believed that Joseph Haydn did not have any children. Some experts, however, say that he did have a son with his lover the singer L. Polzelli in Eisenstadt.
Both wrote hundreds of different works, many not published. However, Beethoven completed 9 symphonies; the numbering of Mozart's symphonies runs to 41 but there are up to 50 (some not granted numbers), so in purely numerical terms Mozart wrote more.
Tchaikovsky wrote six symphonies, and some musicologists consider his "Manfred" to be a symphony, but most see it as a symphonic poem. Tchaikovsky died ten days after the premier of his last symphony, #6 in B minor. Fragments of other started and abandoned works were cobbled into another "symphony" many years later, but it is only Tchaikovsky's actual writing here and there, and got a poor critical reception - it is mostly forgotten today.
Mozart had many famous symphonies, but the last three - often referred to as the 'final trilogy' - are regarded by many as his greatest symphonies. These were written in 1788, in the summer before his death. See the Web Link to the left and look for links to Symphonies 39, 40, and 41.
