I just paid $734 including tax on my 98 studio. I picked it up at a big music store in Richmond VA. It has Groover tuners, black mat finish, and all sorts of character. The beauty of any used guitar is that they all have a story. Buying new you may have no scratches and get all the pretty tags but you miss out on any personalty the older Guitars carry.

∙ 10y agowell it's not exactly hard to find , shoot for 60-70% what you paid for it if you plan to sell it.
to get the best possible price collectors are after essentially a never played guitar , no upgrades and an original case but at the same time want to know if it's a studio , standard , custom ...ect one.

∙ 12y agojust bought a used 1994 les paul studio wine red with gold hardware for 600.00 bucks at my local guitar center. best deal i have seen in the last year or so. most listings a saw i.e. Craigslist and e-bay they were going for around 700.00 to 750.00. Couldn't pass on this deal and it plays great. hope this helped.
