It depends on a lot of things, mainly your company. In general, companies do not distinguish by number of miles over the speed limit, unless you cross over from a minor violation to a major violation (in most states, 15 over is close to that line.) Beyond that, it depends on whether your company considers it a major or minor violation. In Nebraska (where I live,) 15 is a minor violation, so in my state, the premium increase would be negligible, if anything. A major violation is a different story--those can wreak havoc on premiums, and often if you have more than one, qualify you for high risk insurance. Essentially, contact your company to find out more.
If I am from Florida but got a speeding ticket in CA, can I go to Traffic School to remove the points from my insurance? I plan on paying the ticket.
A speeding ticket of 10mph less will affect your insurance directly. Premiums often go up and remain high for extended periods of time.
yes
No. In fact I just got a 180$ speeding ticket in Texas and they didn't even check my insurance because it was an out of state vehicle. However, if they ran your insurance when you got pulled over (out of state vehicles sometimes they dont) then it will be reported to your insurance.
87 in a 70 is $ 205.20
There is not a ticket charge for a no proof of insurance in Michigan. You are given a ticket for other things, such as speeding.
If your 16 year old got a speeding ticket the parent's insurance be definitely be affected in Michigan. The insurance bill will increase in money owed.
will my car insurance go up because I received a speeding ticket intermediate in a scool zone?
The speeding ticket is a separate issue. If you don't have insurance you get done for driving without insurance, speeding or not.
The ticket will be reported to NC and treated just as if you received the ticket in NC as it applies to your insurance rates so the answer is yes.
Arizona Speeding Ticket You may want to refer to my other answer regarding out of state speeding tickets. Arizona and Michigan both belong to the driver's license compact. The ticket will be reported to Michigan and treated just as if you had received the speeding ticket in Michigan. You may want to check with the Michigan DMV. I believe they will remove the points if you state that the only reason you were found guilty is that you could not return to Arizona for court. However, the ticket will still stay on your record for insurance purposes. lwpat http://www.speedingticketcentral.com/ I don't think Michigan is a member of Drivers License comapct. It is not member of both DLC and NRVC(Non-Resident violaters compact). So , I believe Arizona cannot report your conviction to Michigan. Correct me if I 'm wrong??? You are wrong. AZ does report to Michigan.
Yes
iF YOU FAIL TO PAY THE TICKET WHERE IT WAS ISSUED, A WARRANT IS ISSUED FOR FAILURE TO APPEAR NAD NORMALLY YOUR LICENSE ARE REVOKED.

I received a speeding ticket that I talked the trooper down to writing me for a seatbelt violation. My insurance did not go up as a result of this ticket. (I live in New York).
6/7/06. I was pulled over today and received a ticket for impeding. Since I have a good driving record, the officer did not want to mess it up by giving me a speeding ticket. He explained to me that the impeding ticket had 0 points, compared to a speeding ticket with 3 points. The impeding ticket in Michigan is $140, but I thanked him for giving me a break. I don't need my insurance to go up any higher than what it already is!
yes, they do.
