The chance of pregnancy following tubal ligation (burning, cutting, clipping, tying) is very small - but since our body's are designed to heal - it occasionally happens. The chance of this happening actually goes up slightly over the years. But it is still very rare.
If you think you may be pregnant take a HPT, as the chance of ectopic pregnancy is slightly higher in a pregnancy following tubal ligation.

∙ 12y agoIt's very rare but it does happen. Tubal ligation has less than a 2% failure rate but the tubes have been know to grow back together over time. You are at higher risk for ectopic pregnancy which can be life threatening if not treated quickly after having tubal ligation. If you feel that you may be pregnant you should see a Dr as soon as possible.
If you want to get pregnant after a tubal ligation you can look into reversal surgery and/or IVF treatments.

Hi :-) There is about a 1 chance in 500,000 of you becomming pregnant after having a Tubal performed. There has been some extreme rare cases of Women conceiving after having a Tubal and I believe they experienced normal pregnancy symptoms or abdominal pain. You will need to see your doctor for a blood test to be certain if you have conceived or not. But there is no chance of conception UNLESS the Tubal failed. Take care! x actually it is between 2 and 10 per 1000 that get pregnant!
As of July 23, 2009 Faith is currently not pregnant.

I'm not sure about "law" but most doctors won't do it until you're over a certain age and/or have had so many kids. My best friend was 23 w/ 2 kids and they wouldn't do it. You also must have consent from your husband if you are married.
I'm 23. I had my tubes tied 2 years ago after pregnancy complications with my 4th pregnancy. I was in my 2nd trimester and I had a heart problem that was getting worse as my pregnancy progressed. My doctor recommended getting my tubes tied because birth control pills nor the patch had worked. So my doctor performed the abortion and tubal ligation. I wouldn't recommend it unless you are 100% sure or a doctor advises you to do so. Even though my health was an issue, I regret it. Maybe I should have gotten a 2nd opinion.

Yes, you could be pregnant if your period is 2-4 days late or even skipped. If you might be pregnant, I would take a pregnancy test or go get a check up or ultrasound.
