During the 80's Cerwin Vega made a series of cabinets called the V series. They were generally covered in grey carpet. The 2 x 12" cabinet you mention is likely to be the V32 and in it's day was considered to be a reasonable quality mid/high box, being rated at 250w r.m.s
If you are talking about the original V32s, I used a pair on the road in the early to mid seventies for pa for small to medium club gigs. The early version was actually considered a full range speaker and Cerwin Vega made a powered mixer that could be purchased as a system. They had a simple choke/filter cap passive crossover and 2x12s as well as some other speaker components. Also those early cabinets were finished with a black fiberglass type coating. For it's purpose, it was probably one of the best sounding PA systems I've used.

very much depends on whether it has solid state or tube amp, and of course if it has a Leslie speaker. If solid state and no Leslie, um, you may have to pay somebody to haul it away.
The series goes city of bones, city of ashes, and city of glass. The series name is the mortal instruments series.

The Live Phish Series is a video series of Phish concert recordings. The Live Phish Series shows live concerts from the 80's, 90's, and the early 2000's.
Cerwin Vega speakers can cost anywhere from $61.99 for a single VEGA084.2 8 inch series dual 4 Ohm subwoofer, to $1,500.00 for CMX-210 4-way powered loudspeakers.
You could with a 4 channel amp. Bridge it to two channels and hook up the two 8 ohm woofers in parallel on the one bridged channel. Then hook the two coils on the dual coil woofer in series with the other bridged channel on the amp.
You can't change the ohm load of a speaker. What you can do, is get a second 8 ohm speaker to run with that speakers in series and you will get a total ohm load of 16 ohms.To run them in series, simply wire the positive terminal of one speaker to the negative of the other speaker. One speaker will have an open positive terminal which you wire to the positive terminal on the amp, and same goes for the negative on the other speaker (to the amp's negative terminal of course).
That would yeild a 4 ohm load
The Bose Acoustimass is a powerful STEREO speaker system. Can be used for any home theater system as an add-on.While the Bose Companion 5 is a computer speaker system with an effect of a 5.1 CHANNEL on a three piece speaker.
Bose Companion 3 Series II speakers are an exceptional multimedia speaker. The Bose speakers are sleek and compact in comparison to Logitech's Z-5500 though the Logitech's speaker system is highly versatile allowing you the option of wall mounting or desk placement.

Yes, on 8 ohm horn driver will work in series with a 16 ohms horn driver, but it will not work well.An 8 ohm speaker in series with a 16 ohm speaker will only present a load of 24 ohms to the amplifier. (Assuming they have the same frequency to impedance curve.) That will result in one third the expected current, and one ninth the expected power. Also, since each speaker represents inductance, it will act in part as a filter, affecting the frequency reponse of the other speaker.
The sketch comedy television series Saturday Night Live featured a sketch about the fictional motivational speaker Matt Foley. The character is irritating, clumsy, and has a short temper. Each sketch put him into a speaking situation that often works out in the end.
Yes, the speaker took the wrong train in the poem "The Night Train" by Joy Cowley. This mistake leads to a series of unexpected and unsettling events during the journey.
You "can" add a four ohm resistor in series with a four ohm speaker, and make it look like an eight ohm speaker, however, the frequency response will not be the same. It is better to use to correct speaker for the amplifier, or use two four ohm speakers in parallel. That resistors power rating must exceed the rating of the speaker. Half the from the amplifier will go to the speaker, while half will go to the resistor, making it get quite hot.
They go in the rear deck. You most likely have some small ones there already. If you are asking this question, you have most likely turned the BASS all the way up and completely fried them so they sound like a duck and buzz a lot. Time to put better ones in. Get the best brand-name car speakers you can afford. The mid-ranges (in the doors) most likely will also need replacing, too. For the sub-woofers, look at the underside from the trunk, and you can see what will fit without modification.
