Reggae came from Trench Town in west Kingston Jamaica. It is not "most associated". It came out of my yard in Trench Town in 1962.

Reggae opera was coined and invented by Ras cardo from trench town Jamaica. He is the same inventor and creator for many things in Reggae and of reggae music. He also coined the word Reggae in 1962. Reggae opera was coined by him in 1964 and was taken to his high school where he introduced it to his classmates, most notably Geoffrey Chung.
