Is a Bach Omega a good trumpet model?
Bach trumpets, in general, will be good trumpets. The Omega is sometimes considered an "intermediate" level trumpet, providing a stepping stone between a beginner horn and a Stradivarius professional trumpet. Basically, the Omega model will be a good trumpet for an advanced student who is ready to "move on" from their first trumpet, but may not be willing to spend the money for a professional quality trumpet.

Good luck... Most good condition used Bach Strads will run you between $750 and $1,000 or more. Your best bet would be on eBay, but be cautious... some sellers are not very honest. You should always play a trumpet in person to make sure it's the right trumpet for you.

Many students (myself included), will upgrade to a Bach Stradivarius. If you can find a reputable dealer, you can usually get a used one relatively cheap.For a new intermediate level trumpet, Bach's TR200 line is a good step up from a student horn.
