No. Demi Lavato's look is not "Gothic". Normally one would equate the dark hair and pale skin with the Goth look however, that is not what she's going for. Yes she has black hair and is pale, but the Goth look is characterized by not only those to elements but black lips as well as an androgenic bent often with elements such as velvets, lace, high heels, black leather, fishnets along with religious or macabre jewelry and I've seen no evidence of a Gothic slant to her look.

The best description of her look is a fusion of rocker chick and Tejano glam. Granted one could say that she's incorporated elements of chola chic into her style by virtue of the Tejano look, though she lacks the fine eyebrows classic of the chola style.

If you consider where she comes from, she is of Latina decent from Texas, the Tejano influence becomes very logical and apparent. If you are seeing Goth in her look, then you're simply not looking deep enough and need to expand your horizons.
