"Oliver Twist" is primarily a sad story, as it portrays the harsh realities of poverty, abuse, and social injustice faced by orphans in 19th-century England. Oliver's struggles for love and belonging highlight the cruelty of his environment, making his journey one of suffering and hardship. However, the narrative also contains elements of hope and redemption, especially towards the end, suggesting that kindness and compassion can prevail despite the darkness. Overall, while it has moments of happiness, the overarching themes evoke deep sorrow and empathy.
It tries to be happy, but in the end it is sad because of how repetetive, unoriginal, and empty it really is.

It's old and amazing! +++++++++++++++ Because it deals with some enduring topics: poverty, crime, and prostitution. It's impact on the public was tremendous and many credit CD with inspiring dramatic and positive changes to the was England treated the poor.
i've got a simpelfied version of the book from my english teacher. i've read it in one go because it was so short and easy. charles dickens wanted to give people a chance to think about the lower classes of society. although he also highlighted the criminal intensity. personally i think that's kind of, what the story is based on.

The story of Cinderella is ultimately happy because she overcomes her hardships and finds love and happiness in the end. Though there are sad moments and challenges she faces along the way, the overall tone of the story is uplifting and hopeful.
a story should end happily because they make the reader also feel happy but when there is a sad ending the reader feels sad snd then thinks that it should have ended this way . so a story should most of the time have a happy ending.
There are as many resolutions as there are authors - every story ends uniquely. You might have a "happy" ending, where everyone ends up succeeding (except for the villain, of course) or a "sad" ending where they fail. You might have a scary ending or a surprise twist or even a cliffhanger ending. It just depends on the author and their unique story.
sad, mad, happy sad, mad, happy sad, mad, happy
for them it's a HAPPY ending because they all graduated and still they are friends. for me it's a HALF HAPpY ending because the story is not enough!
