Uni-body
Yes, the frame is integrated into the body.
I myself would not do this as the Jeep is a Uni-body construction and if you catch the plow on a curb you could bend the body to a point where the doors will not open.
The 2001 Jeep Cherokee crossbar is welded to the frame of the vehicle. You will need to use a cutting torch to remove the crossbar.
the fuel pump on a 2001 ford f350 is located on the inside of the frame underneath the drivers side door
The pitman arm is located on the driver side under the steering gearbox. It is connected from the gearbox to the inner tie rod end and the idler arm is on the passenger side from the frame to inner tie rod end.
The all do not have a unitized construction. The Jeep Wrangler is body on frame. The reason manufactures went to unitized construction is lower cost. The only jeep that had a unibody was the small Cherokee and that had sub frame assemblies mot true unibody. EVERY other jeep has full frames.
It is an unibody constructed vehicle and does not have a frame. It is an unibody constructed vehicle and does not have a frame.
These vehicles are constructed with a unibody frame and as such have no frame. And yes the front axle can be interchanged. If your 96 has damage extensive enough to warrant a total front end replacement and the frame itself is bent then I would suggest that its probably totalled beyond repair and that you have two junk vehicles there.
The 64 is built on a unibody.
What kind of jeep? And wouldn't it be easier to use a 94 jeep on a 97 frame? And why would you want to do that anyway? Serious answer is: Since you posted this in Grand Cherokee I can tell you that these vehicles are made with a unibody so there really isn't anything under them like a frame. But with a torch anything is possible.
NO , The Cherokee is a unibody setup which means that the body and the frame are one piece. A body lift requires the frame and the body to be separate order to put a spacer in to lift the body off the frame.
full frame
It has no frame. It is a unibody construction.
Unibody construction is primarily used to reduce weight. Normal frames are heavier, but they're also more rigid. The Jeep Cherokee used a unibody and was very successful with it and weighed slightly over 3,000 lbs, which is very light for an SUV of that size.
There isn't a drain line. The jeep has a unibody frame construction and the evaporator pan drains directly into a frame member making it impossible to blow air up a tube to clear the drain path. Very poor engineering in my opinion.
Unibody
A Jeep Wrangler has a frame.
