Vincent Bach classifies the TR300 models as student-level trumpets.
On the internet...or go to a trumpet professional.
I would say maybe a little less than a grand, maybe 800 dollars
Bach Trumpet
Bach trumpets, in general, will be good trumpets. The Omega is sometimes considered an "intermediate" level trumpet, providing a stepping stone between a beginner horn and a Stradivarius professional trumpet. Basically, the Omega model will be a good trumpet for an advanced student who is ready to "move on" from their first trumpet, but may not be willing to spend the money for a professional quality trumpet.
The Bach Stradivarius line of trumpet models is generally considered their top trumpet.
Quote: "The Bach Stradivarius 18037 Lacquer Professional Bb Trumpet is the preferred instrument of most professional players. The Bach Strad trumpet's standard weight body and bell, and standard construction #25 mouthpipe bring depth and color of sound, coupled with the even intonation and response to this instrument. The 18037 Strad Bb Trumpet is one of the most popular of all Bach trumpets for good all-around playing." from: http://www.bizrate.com/orchestral-instruments/bach-180-37-stradivarius-bb-trumpet--pid590421863/

The best trumpet is a Bach, i recommend a B flat trumpet made by Yamaha if your not a professional. always go with a B flat trumpet though.

I would suggest a Bach for the easy playing, great durability, and affordability. My favourite Bach is the Bach Omega. Another wonderful instrument is the King Silverflair (my favourite Trumpet over all) because of its beautiful sound, look, and it is hard to dent.
There are several excellent trumpet manufacturers, but I am rather partial to the Bach family of trumpets. If you're looking for a professional level trumpet, I recommend their Stradivarius line.
At $2000+ you would hope so. They are made in the accent factory in Germany so they are not cheap China clones. The style of the instrument is that of a Bach Strad copy. The price range puts them in the professional market, and a friend who plays one says they can't be beaten. But then every trumpet player says that about his favourite instrument.
It was made by Selmer and is a Strad 37 clone but with a two piece bell. It was the intermediate below the Bach Strad but you cant really comment on a trumpet unless you can play it. Quality wise it was a well made instrument. The sound was a bit brighter than the Strad. A good student step up instrument.
A serial number is needed to determine the age of a Bach Stradivarius trumpet.
