- have never felt that classical world of music is not enough because I learnt both these styles. The audience for Classical Music is different. I play according to the situation and audience and their tastes on the occasion. Right now, public likes the fusion kind of music more and that is what I do more these days.
I have done albums and pieces in more traditional style during earlier days. Folk Music or regional music is another area - I have made music connecting those as well. In many of my performances I include the traditional music based pieces as well.
Around eight years ago, I had the opportunity to play for a TV channel in connection with the harvest festival Onam of my state Kerala. I came up with a song based on Indian Folk music. I also composed another one based on traditional carnatic music - carnatic music is based on a group of notes called Raga - my composition is based on the Raga called Sreeranjini. Me and my band played that in the studio for telecast during the festival season eight years ago. We still play these during our shows and have a lot of fun.

Classical music does affect short term memory. If you need proof look at Albert Einstein his mom took out of school because he wasn't smart enough. His mother bought him a violin and that's where he started become the Albert Einstein we know today. Classical music affects short term out of all because it has more of an impact on the brain by creating more of the cells that our brain uses to make another cell that brings up and effects your I.Q. If you listen to rock or uncensored music it has less of an effect on the brain because instead of making more of the good cells it destroys them and instead it actually can create an extra personality. So pretty much to cut it short classical music affects short term memory in a good way.
