Tina Turner first retired from touring with her 2000 worldwide tour, "Twenty-Four Seven". It was the highest grossing tour of 2000 and the 5th highest grossing tour ever in North America. It was also the highest grossing tour a female artist had ever done. In 2001, Billboard declared that Tina Turner had sold more concert tickets then any other male or female solo artis in history. In 2004 she released a greatest hits comilation ablum titled, "All The Best" It debuted at #2 on Billboards hot 200 albums. In 2008 at the age of 68, she decided to return to touring once more, calling the tour "TINA LIVE- 50th Anniversary tour". Opening night sold out in a record 2 minutes. When the tour ended in Spring of 2009. The worldwide tour had grossed 130 million dollars. It was the 7th highest grossing tour in the year 2008 in North America. Now Tina, is back to retirement spending her times between her homes in Switzerland and France. She occasionally makes small appearances at Armani fashion shows. At the age of 71, she has no plans to return to showbusiness.
