Most likely the Strat, considering that you are mostly playing clean. It has a much brighter tone that can help cut through the mix of a band. This is also very dependent on the pickups, however.
Fender for Hendrix Epihone for Zeppelin and ACDC Ibanez is more on the metal side of things. It really depends on what music you are looking at basically Fender for more blues and Ibanez is more of the Metal types.

Its purely a matter of choice, the humbucker pick up will give the Stratocaster a different sound.
the studio, it has better electronics and hardware
it depends if your a beginner i would go with the squier because the stratocaster is more advanced
i think they are just about the same. i have a fender stratocaster so i say fender
EITHER IS GOOD FOR METAL BUT YOU MAY HAVE TO MAKE ADJUSTMENTS ON THE FENDER
Well, why not go all out and buy a Gibson Melody Maker? it costs just as much, and it's a great guitar for that genre.
The key differences between a Fender Stratocaster and a Squier Stratocaster guitar are the quality of materials used, craftsmanship, and price. Fender Stratocasters are made with higher quality materials and craftsmanship, resulting in better sound and durability, but they are more expensive. Squier Stratocasters are more affordable and are typically made with lower quality materials, which can affect the sound and longevity of the instrument.
definitely the epiphone as epiphone is owned by Gibson ( a leading guitar brand ) the epiphone looks better and should sound way better. you can trust epiphone also i will be buying and epiphone sg for Christmas..

Yes they are a good guitar... but depends what style you want to play. Absolutely especially in comparison to Squire Strats. The Standard Stratocaster has better sound and better playability than Squires. They also have a better resale value. Again, it is dependent upon which style of music you want to play. Fender Stratocasters are very versatile you can play many styles of music with a Strat. Everything from country to blues to rock. However, they are not suitable for jazz as they lack the airness and midrange of an artchtop.
