The main instruments used in jazz include Brass (trumpets, saxophones, trombones), Double bass (and sometimes electric bass Guitars), and a drum kit (essentially with a Ride cymbal).

Isn't the piano often used in some pieces of Jazz Music, like Cantaloupe Island?

Jazz Guitar

Piano/synthesizer/jazz organ

Saxophone

Trombone

Trumpet/valved trombone

Sousaphone

But almost every instrument ever known has been included in jazz in some way or another, from sitar to gamelan to crystal glassware filled with water. People are always looking for new sounds and interesting genre mixing.
