To change the timing chain on a Honda XR80, start by removing the side cover and the necessary components to access the timing chain, including the camshaft and any associated gears. Carefully mark the original timing positions to ensure proper alignment during reassembly. Remove the old timing chain and replace it with a new one, ensuring it is correctly tensioned. Finally, reassemble the engine components, following the marks you made earlier, and double-check all connections before starting the engine.
The 2000 4.7L is not a hemi. It does have a timing chain.
Yes it does, both the 4.0, and 5.2 I would change at around 75,000-90,000 miles. The timing chain should last for the life of the engine. 200k plus.
The timing chain on a Honda Rancher 350 is located inside the engine, connecting the crankshaft to the camshaft. To access it, you typically need to remove the engine cover, timing chain tensioner, and other components. Proper servicing should be done according to the manufacturer's guidelines to ensure correct timing and engine performance.
To replace the timing chain on a 2004 Honda Rancher, first, disconnect the battery and remove the necessary body panels for access. Drain the engine oil and coolant, then take off the valve cover and crankcase cover to expose the timing chain. Remove the old timing chain and any tensioner components, then install the new timing chain, ensuring it is properly aligned with the timing marks. Finally, reassemble all components, refill with oil and coolant, and reconnect the battery.
Mostly hanging on the end of the cam shaft, but check the fuel tank.
To change the timing chain on a Honda Rancher, first, ensure the engine is cool and disconnect the battery. Remove the necessary components, such as the plastic covers, to access the timing chain. Carefully align the timing marks on the crankshaft and camshaft before removing the old chain. Install the new timing chain, ensuring proper tension, and reassemble all parts in the reverse order of disassembly. Always consult the service manual for specific torque specifications and detailed steps.

2013 Honda CRV has a timing chain that requires no maintenance.
The timing cover on a Honda Rancher is located on the right side of the engine, typically near the front. It is a protective cover that houses the timing chain or belt, which connects the crankshaft to the camshaft. To access it, you may need to remove other components, such as the side panels or other engine covers, depending on the model year. Always consult the owner's manual for specific instructions related to your Rancher model.
