∙ 12y agoMost good saxes aren't cheap. Great saxes can range into 7 or 8 thousand dollars. The best cheap sax I can recommend is R.S. Berkeley. Sherman Irby, a lead sax player in the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchastra With Wynton Marsalis, plays an R.S. Berkeley Virtuoso alto sax.
