I think for a beginning 8 year old, if he/she is serious about starting, a 5 piece kit would be sufficient. I've had the pleasure of playing with some incredible drummers and there isn't really anything you can't do with just a 5 piece kit.
Hmm...this one is tough....I started out with a Battle drumset from Ebay and not a day goes by that i don't regret it..internet is not a good idea. Yamaha is good. I think the beset thing to do is go to a music store and test some stuff out and get help from a professional. Good luck!
A good beginner drum set would be something like a Pearl Forum, Tama imperialstar, Ddrum, or PDP Z5. These are all beginner drum sets. The best out these would be the Tama and Pearl drum sets. Those you will be able to use in the future with a band if you wanted to.
look for a Ludwig junior 5 peice set. good quality and fairly cheap.
One can purchase a drum set for a toddler from Toys R Us where there are a number of sets available. One can also buy them from eBay, Walmart and Amazon.
Legion drum sets are good entry level drum sets and will endlessly provide the beginner to intermediate drummer with drumming pleasure. However, they can not be compared to the more expensive, famous kits.
they are cheap beginner drums. but they are not very good
the drummer was 14 yrs. old in fact he was the yongest drummer in a traveling band in the 1960's sand he was really good! google iron butterfly drum solo.
All drum sticks are gonna break sometime. But they're probably breaking because you're a very good drummer who's using his or her drum sticks the right way. Good drummin'. (But I would recommend getting some 5B size sticks).
Yes, Avenged Sevenfold's drummer, The Rev, was a good drummer. A very good drummer. He was considered one of the best metal drummers because of his speed. Although their replacement drummer, Mike Portnoy, is not as good.

dying in your arms by trivium is good & easy if you a beginner it might be easier if you use one bass drum pedal, Joey uses 2 but the easiest song to play but sounds good if you have got 2 bass drum pedals if "before i forget".

The Sound Percussion 5-piece drum kit is a good beginner set and has a 5 star rating. (5 Star = 5 out of 5)
Some examples... * "A beginner is not as good as an expert." * "Tim was bad at Trumpet, because he was just a beginner" * "She did quit well for a beginner."
Ludwig Accent drums were designed to be a starter set for beginners. You would not find a better beginner drum set for the price. I would recommend changing the drum heads to something better than what is supplied with the set and it would make it sound much better.
yes triops are very good beginner pets because they are easy to take care of.
