What is the best guitar for under 200.00?

I suggest Ibanez Guitars. they make good guitars for all price ranges in both acoustics and electrics. for three hundred dollars you can get a decent guitar. they also have a fairly big selection of guitars for three hundred dollars. i dont suggest Squire guitars because they have poor quality. i hope you find something you like!

depends on what you're looking for;

you can get a squier affinity stratocaster Electric Guitar for about $300 but you should probably save another few hundred for a better quality sound from the guitar you buy.

You can get a lot of good used ones off of Craigslist or kijiji for around that price. 120 dollars bought me a BC Rich beast , 250 bought me the best 7 string I ever played that's up there with the 1000$-ish ones.

you meet up with people locally as they want to sell their guitars so Gibson, ibanez, bc rich you name its there.. than most give you a chance to try it out, some of the best guitars I've bought off there where no name where you just pay for the parts more the less.

If it is an Ibanez that you want, you can get a basic GRX22 for AU$200. It's a 22 fret guitar with neck and bridge humbuckers, without a scratchguard, FAT6 tremolo bridge and basic hardware. It sounds decent enough, but you may want to make a few upgrades. I would suggest better pick-ups if you plan to perform, but what it comes with is fair enough for practice. I bought one for AU$180 new, made some modifications which brought the cost to just over AU$300. Now it sounds and looks awesome.

well i have an ltd F100FM its all stock and its a very good guitar for metal... just give it a good setup...the only limitations is what you put on yourlself at that point...
