House music can be difficult to mix.
You must first decide if you like to just do continuous mix (song after song for say 90 minutes)
Or if you want to get tricky and mix accapellas into breaks and such.
As a hobbyist DJ I really focused on continuous mixes for a few months, learning when the BPM could sync together and typically did after last verse of one song got the next song prepared and synced then faded from one to the other.
(iTunes does something like that, but don't sync BPM and it can sound like a plane crash).
As I got better at syncing the BPM i got began getting tricky with using accapellas of one song and mixing them into other instrumentals or beat breaks.
I focus'ed on Freestyle, Techno, Rave, House, Electronica, Dance (when freestyle was in the 80s and early 90s a kinda house/electronica; such as STEVIE B)
