Fiddles, guitars, banjos, harmonicas were some of the major instruments that were used in both country and western music. Then, these cowboy and cowgirl actors began recording country songs as well. Western Music performers such as Roy Rogers, Dale Evans, The Sons of the Pioneers, Tex Ritter, Gene Autry and Patsy Montana were able to bring even more fans into the world of country music. So, the term Country and Western Music, would soon be changed to just Country Music.
