Released by Bruce Springsteen, it's a bleak anthem about a Vietnam War veteran who comes home to find himself with a dead-end job and little to look forward to.
Born in a rough, poor town in a poor state, the character in the song has a hard upbringing, having to grow up early and taking many hard knocks before he is drafted to go and fight in Vietnam. He doesn't want to go and doesn't understand what the war is for- he survives, goes back home and tries to get a job at the local oil refinery. The manager there is himself a Vietnam vet. and had a girlfriend in Saigon- the singer is looking back on all this after 10 years working at the refinery, knowing that he has no hope of promotion, little to look forward to in his life, and faced with a grim future of working in a polluting, dirty environment that makes it hard to feel proud about yourself.
The song is deliberately crafted to sound like a patriotic song about being proud to be an American, but this is ironic- the lyrics tell a very different story, that it's NOT always brilliant to be born in the USA and that many Americans have a very hard time of it.
Benjamin Burnley once said in an interview, "We don't have a set meaning behind a song. It isn't up to us, when i write, I try to inspire people to relate and come up with their own meaning." or something similar to that, either way, In my opinion, its about leaving a relationship, someone you love, being so desolate, and just trying to find your way back to them, not physically, but emotionally.
he is challenging god telling him to show us his power ^ Wow, that's completely wrong. "Superstar" is a song from the concept album "The Cool" in which Lupe explores the lives of 3 characters (The Game, The Streets & The Cool). The song is written about the third character.
If you are meaning the message of the wall behind Miley when she is singing her 2nd verse it says " Coral Drive-In". The video was partly videoed in a truck drive-in place. Hope this helps! =)
Just the two of us.
I do not know all the meaning of the song but i do know that we are God's creation and He loves us with a jealous love. He does not want to give us up to others. He wants to bestow upon us His perfect love. Alters are the things we sacrifice (give) our lives to. Jesus showed this jealous rage by turning over the tables of all those in the market who were selling animals for sacrifices and pulling a profit in what should be a sacrifice of love to God who sacrificed His Son for us. There is much more - listen, read, pray and discover the true meaning for yourself. By the way, Lennon's song was Jealous Guy.

The song "Alay" by Kamikazee from their third album Long Time Noisy, in my own interpretation, is a song dedicated to Our Father. As you hear the song, it shows His love and affection to each and every of us and it even shows our neglect because of our daily work and doings in our lives. That is why we give him thanks and praise and forgiveness is because he cares and loves us all the time and he guides us each and every time from dawn till dusk.
It means that there is pain inside us and we are letting it out.
