What is the meaning to the song Fire Sign by David Berkeley?

I don't really know myself... but because I haven't been able to find the answer I thought I'd give it a shot. I will do it line by line.

A Fire Sign, as in.. someone who is bad news.. who's tendencies or character traits will end up getting you hurt.. and yet you get close to them.. allowing yourself to believe otherwise. This song is about the disappointment... hopeless hoping.... the hurting and pain (metaphorically like a burn) is the result of a relationship like that. (Fire Sign lyrics- David Berkeley).
