I always buy my radio equipment through Crutchfield. When you do it comes with everything. The instructions any radio cradle mods you might not to mention the most important of them all. It comes with a new wiring harness that is vehicle specific. There is no splicing of wires ans such.

Firing order is usually 1-3-4-2. So start from the front of the pickup, going clockwise. (mine is a 1991 Mazda b2600i).

The wiring harness for the radio in a 1991 GMC Pickup is going to be behind the radio. The wiring harness is plugged into the back of the radio. The fuse for the radio is in the fuse box located on the driver's side below the dashboard.
You can find the radio wiring diagram for a 1991 Ford Bronco in the vehicle's owner's manual. You can also find it by contacting the radio manufacturer.

There is nothing to "check". Look in the owners manual and change the belt according to the service requirements. They never "look" bad until they fail and destroy the engine.
