Jazz it has a long history but to make it short. When the black people have been taken from Africa to America they have been slaves for thousands of years. While working in the fields, the constant rythem of work sounds, for example passing a straw pack from one hand to other made a sound. Lined up all together they been trying to improvise other sounds above it. that's how black people cultivated their music knowledge at that time. After they got human rights they have been many unemployed black people that chose freedom after the human right have been given instead of working for a so called "master".Because they were uneducated and music was all they know some of them became street musical performers. Some studied music but most of them because they didn't know how to read music so they created
music by improvising. To find better money they had to move to New Orleans witch at those times New Orleans were already a regional music center so that's why it attracted black musicians, but the first sound of jazz was heard at New Orleans and Dixieland band discovered the new Chicago Sound Style of Jazz.
