09/05/1964 - (8:30pm) The Beatles perform at The International Amphitheater here. All 18,000 available tickets for this performance had been sold before a single printed ad had been seen by the public. Songs performed are Twist and Shout, You Can't Do That, All My Loving, She Loves You, Things We Said Today, Roll Over Beethoven, Can't Buy Me Love, If I Fell, I Want To Hold Your Hand, Boys, A Hard Day's Night, and Long Tall Sally. The supporting acts are The Bill Black Combo, The Exciters, The Righteous Brothers, and Jackie DeShannon. At some point during the show, somebody in the balcony throws a huge raw steak and almost hits Paul McCartney, just missing his head by inches.
08/12/1966 - (3:00pm & 7:30pm) The Beatles begin their final tour of North America with a performance of two shows at The International Amphitheater here. The supporting acts are The Remains, Bobby Hebb, The Cyrkle, and The Ronettes (without Ronnie Spector). The song list is Rock And Roll Music, She's A Woman, If I Needed Someone, Day Tripper, Baby's In Black, I Feel Fine, Yesterday, I Wanna Be Your Man, Nowhere Man, Paperback Writer, and I'm Down. Both shows are filmed. Attendance at each show is 13,000.

It partly depends on what you mean by the Beatles; the Quarrymen (which was Lennon's first band and which went on to become the Beatles) first performed in Woolton (a suburb of Liverpool) at a church Fete in 1957. It's one of the most significant events in music history as it was also when John Lennon met Paul McCartney.
