Plans for an ABBA museum, to be located in central Stockholm, were annouced by promoters in 2006. Originally it was scheduled to open in 2009. But, apparently due at least in part to financing issues, the promoters instead decided to take the exhibition on the road. In January 2010, the show "AbbaWorld" opened in London, and it has since travelled to Australia and parts of Europe. It features hundreds of Abba artifacts, some contributed by the Abba members. The original plan was that the exhibition would return to Sweden for a permanent exhibition but the last exhibition finished in August 2011 in Prague and there's been no further word about what is happening with the museum.
