How do you bypass o2 sensor on 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee?

It is not a good idea to bypass the O2 sensor on any car . They use it for calibration of the fuel injection . If you bypass it you run serious risk of damaging your motor , by lean conditions that would create detination and eat pistons and valves . Or it could go very rich and the fuel economy will drop dramatically.

How do you change the oxygen sensor on a 1995 jeep Cherokee This one has only a single sensor.?

The heated oxygen sensor, or O2 sensor is located at the exhaust system before the catalytic converter. Removal & Installation # Raise the vehicle and support it with jackstands. # Disengage the O2 sensor wiring connector and remove it using tool YA 8875, or its equivalent. # Inspect the threads of the new O2 sensor. Apply an anti-seize compound only if there is none visible on the threads. Be careful not to contaminate the sensor tip with any foreign compounds. # Install the sensor using tool YA 8875, or its equivalent and engage the wiring connector.

Will bad O2 sensor affect gas mileage?

A bad O2 sensor can affect gas mileage. It is an emissions sensor, so when it goes bad, it does not reflect emissions performance on the car, which could cost a lot in gasoline.

You have a1996 geo tracker the 02 sensor has 4 wires2black 1white 1blue what color goes to the computer?

Hi, The first item is, which O2 sensor? there are two of them so I'll give you both. As I look at the schematic I can see the O2 sensor #1 is Pink and Red/Blueink goes to D19/C23 Red/Blue goes to B8/A2. O2 sensor #2 has Yellow or Red/Blue (it can be either or) and Pink/White or Pink/Blue (again it can be either or). O2 sensor #1 is at the manifold and O2 sensor #2 is by the Catalytic convertor. I avoided the confusion by purchasing the ones with the plugs attached so I don't remember what the price difference was. I hope this was in time for you and good luck. Steve H.

Your 99 GMC van turnsover but will not start can it be the O2 sensor that is preventing it from starting?

No. The O2 sensor is only in effect once the computer goes into closed loop mode (usually after engine is up to temperature)
