Is there a screw on the end of the tuning knob? Tightening it will help hold it in place. Don't over tighten!
If it is a friction peg with no screw at the end, you might try roughing up the pin a bit with some fine sandpaper.
It is possible you would have to replace the tuning pegs. A new set can be obtained for anywhere from $10 to over $100, depending on the quality and style you want. Most of the inexpensive ones will work just fine.
