Try wjjeeps.com . This web site tells you everything about cherokees. I wanted to change my factory radio but I found out that it's better to keep it and just buy a converter. they give you a web site to buy all the things that you need to switch everything over
If you have a Cherokee from 1984-1996 with speakers that would have gone in the tailgate, then if you take off the interior tailgate panel (be careful not to break any clips!) and the wiring should be behind it. Just install your new speakers and replace the interior tailgate panel. If you have a Cherokee from 1997-2001 with speakers that would have gone in the ceiling, then take down the headliner temporarily and wiring will be in the roof. It's probably easiest to get a soundbar off of eBay or at your local junkyard and install the bracket and soundbar in the factory location, then connect the wires to the speakers in the soundbar. There is always rear speaker wire going from the radio in the front to speakers in the rear.
The correct factory tire size for a 2014 Jeep Cherokee is 295/45 ZR 20.
I would recommend that you visit www.crutchfield.com and view their automotive audio department and choose the option of Outfit My Car from the drop down menu. They will tell you the correct size of the speakers and make recommendations as to what they have available in that size. You can then also shop around in confidence knowing that what you look at will fit. I've purchased several car stereos in the past from them and have always found pricing to be fair but what's even more important, their phone help line is SUPERB if you have any install questions and most components they sell come with factory wiring harness adaptors so installation is about as plug and play as you can get. I can't recommend this company strongly enough. Good luck. (From Username: IDODRUM) Because the Infinity Systems were designed to work together back in the day, and since the quality of newer aftermarket systems have improved considerably since then trying to mate newer speakers to a older system may not produce good results. I would check the ohm rating on the speakers you have in mind and compare them to the Infinity specs. You might want to replace the old Infinity amp before getting new speakers.
NoNo
i need to disable jeep factory alarm 1997 cherokee
1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee Sport Utility without Infinity system Factory Stereo Installed [change] Factory replacement info: In-dash stereo 8-1/8" depth; Size code CG,E,GC Front speakers Dash: Tweeter factory speaker note Front Door: 6-3/4" Rear speakers Rear Door: 6-3/4"
There is an amp only if equiped with factory infinity stereo with 7 speakers. If so, the amp is behind the glovebox.
6x9 won't fit in factory cut out of doors in a 96...they use round speakers...
You are overloading the factory speakers.
It's under the center dash behind the oem radio
Pop up the dash cover with a flat head screw drive and remove. Remove the two screws that hold the speakers down. You can use a 7mm wrench if they are tight. Unplug the factory ones and plug in your new set. You can use factory ones or search for aftermarket ones on Ebay or Google. They are an odd size speaker (2.5") so your options are kind of limited when it comes to what you buy.
Both the standard audio system and the Infinity Gold premium audio system have the same size speakers:Front Doors: 6X 3/4"Rear Doors: 6X 3/4"If you have speakers in the dashboard of your Jeep, they are 2X 1/2".You can tell if you have the Infinity Gold system or not because if you have the system, Infinity Gold will be printed on both front door speaker grilles. If Infinity Gold is not printed on both front door speaker grilles, you do not have the Infinity Gold system. Also, if you have the system, an amplifier is placed under the rear bench seat on the driver's side. If the factory head unit has a joystick-like fader control, you have the Infinity Gold system. Thanks!
yes , you need the converter from high to low, found at walmart, connect to speakers, if have factory amp install before the amp
It could be a combination of wires and the amp, but I would start with the amp.
Yes you can. I replace my factory speakers on my 1998 Ford Expedition with Pioneers.
You don't need factory speakers. Just buy the same size speakers and install.
hell yeah anythings better than factory
