What is the difference between an epiphone sg 310 and an epiphone sg 400?

the only difference i am aware of is that one has a larger pickguard......i have the epiphone sg 400 with the smaller guard....both are nice guitars. --stan the guitar man The G400 has a solid mahony body - the g310 has alder The G400 has a set neck - the g310 has bolt on The G400 has alnico V humbuckers the G310 has open coil humbuckers The G400 has trapezoidal inlays - the g310 has dots I think that's it The G400 is a nice guitar and an "upmarket" version, it retails at about £100 more than the G310. I believe the 400 says Gibson on the truss rod cover.

Did Tony iommi use the g400?

NO! The G-400 is a newer Epiphone guitar (it's the epi version of the Gibson SG). Back in the day Iommi used Gibson SGs but he got a deal with Epiphone to create the modern day signiture guitar, which replicates his sound. As far as I know he still uses a Gibson SG.

What is generally good about Epiphone guitars?

Well, for one there super cheap. Secondly, they tend to play about as good as a Gibson, compairing the Standard Gibson with the Epiphone, and thirdly, they sound good with pretty much any amp, they can be used for almost any type of music, and are quite a bit lighter, weight wise, than a gibson. From a personal standpoint, I have a couple guitars, and one of them is the Epiphone Les Paul Special II, Another is the Dean Vendetta Camo, I play them on a Line6 spider III, and the Epiphone has more tone for metal, the epiphone has more tone for solos, the epiphone sounds better on the clean channel, (but only when play rythm) and it looks alot better than the Dean, now I know there are some differences between the two, but I do preffer the Epiphone over the Dean, however to be fair, I will say this, the Dean has a MUCH faster neck than the Epiphone, and the Dean's all (even the cheapest, most crapy playing) have 24 fretts to Epiphone's (all that I know of) 22 frets. I am going to turn the Dean guitar in for Epiphone Standard Les Paul, but first I will change the pickups in the epiphone for Gibsons, just for Giggles. And I'll update when I do.

Can you put an SG pickgaurd on a g400?

I have an epiphone g400 and i suppose you do too. It has that small lower pickguard beneath the string like the '61 Gibson reissue, but you want the pickguard like the g310 has i guess. Well, pickguards sometimes cover up wiring from the knobs so i would check with a local guitar store to make sure you won't hurt anything. Rock on :)

You want a g400 or a les paul which one should you get?

Well, it all depends on WHICH les paul. Epiphone makes a few models of them varying in price. Given at the same price range, I'd go with the les paul because it has more of a varience of genre's it can play. However, if your going to be playing metal, rock, alternative, you might consider the g400 (SG looking model). Neither of these would be my first choice in this price range, check out the Paul Reed Smith SE Custom 22 Electric Guitar. Its going to give a better sound for about 30 more $.

Which is better A copy strat or an epiphone SG?

An epiphone SG. WEll all depends, on you What style Guitar you like better), and what your playing, I've been Playing for Awhile and i play AC/DC, and other common 70's and so on, So for me i need a Guitar that will let me get to the Higher Frets, for solos, and I'm a Gibson Guy, And SG's Are awsome, great Guitars.. the only differences between a Epipone Sg and a Gibson SG, are the Name, and Designs, pickups, and just little things. the Epi SG 310 is ok, but i'd save up for the Sg G400. Better Parts, Sound , Wood, Playability, and so on.

Where can one buy the Samsung g400 phone from?

Should I buy a PRS 25th Anniversary SE Custom 24 or an Epiphone G400 Custom?

Surely. PRS 25th Anniversary SE Custom 24! You would never get disappointed. They pay attention to each individual guitars. It even comes well set up and tuned. Even the strings are of high quality. If you start playing PRS, you would never go for any other brand. The same guitar is available with EMG pickups with BAT inlays. The most beautiful piece of art I have ever seen.My advice is to buy the PRS Paul Allender series and replace the Tuners with locking tuners, if you are particular in that. remember, the tuners come with the PRS are excellent and never go out of tune. Go to a shop and handle a PRS and the Epiphone; get a belt and put it across your shoulders and and play for 10 minutes in standing position. For PRS, you would feel the sound penetrating through your veins and the excellent looks of the PRS is just an addition to the awsome sound it delivers. Go for a PRS man! I had the same question you have and I have done enough research in this. Best of luck.

Epiphone les paul studio or Epipgone sg g400?

I have never played either of these models, (though I do have a Gibson Les paul studio), but I am pretty sure that the models you are considering are around equal in quality to each other. It then comes down to Les Paul vs. SG. This remains an unanswered question that has to be answered by your personal preference in guitars. The les paul has a heavier, better, full, rich rhythm sound than the SG. The SG is great for soloing, has a brighter sound, ok rhythm lower end. Les Paul is heavier than the SG. If you like switching pickups during a solo, then you may want to go SG, because of the closer placement of the pickup selector. The SG also has better high fret access. (in my opinion, the les paul looks cooler, but you may disagree.) Take these into consideration before making your choice. I can't "tell" you what guitar is better, you have to decide on preference. One last note: Base your descicion on your other guitars also. As mentioned above, the les paul has a great rich rhythym sound, and the sg a great brighter treble sound. If you have another guitar, buy the opposite of what that guitar sounds, so that you can have a wider range of sounds. Good Luck! :)
