If a Dual XD1222 car radio has no volume after the car battery died, it could be due to several reasons. The radio may have lost its settings or become unresponsive following a power interruption. Additionally, if the battery was removed or discharged completely, it might have affected the radio's power supply or internal components. Lastly, check for any blown fuses in the vehicle's fuse box that could prevent the radio from receiving power.
If you remove the faceplate (button on the top left I believe) you can find a tiny "reset" button near the center of the unit (not the faceplate) Press this and reinstall your faceplate. Insert the right side first then press the left side straight on. It should make a clicking noise. The unit is now reset. You will have to reset your presets including clock and sound settings. This is only a tempory fix, from what I understand it might happen every 3 days or so. I don't know of a permenent fix yet.
