i learnt cello, then a year later tried to pick up Trombone, either way ive always liked trombone better but they are both good, pick up one and you can pick up the other extremely fast
The violin does not sound at all as the trombone because firstly it is a wood and the trombone a brass instrument and second, the violin is out of treble clef and the trombone out of bass clef (however, trombonists also read treble clef in brass bands and alto and tenor clefs in orchestras) The sound of the trombone is much more similar to the cello - deep and sonorous, slightly similar to a male singing voice.
Bass viole, Tuba, Trombone Cello, oboe, organ.
how would you complete the series with the correct word. cello guitar piano violin is it a trombone b xylophone c drum d trumpet e saxophone?
Doesn't matter which music is used. The instrument doesn't dictate the playable music, the PERFORMER plays the music, not the instrument. As a professional Trombonist, I play music written for Trombone, Cello, Trumpet, Clarinet, Kazzoo, Kitchensink, whatever.....I'm not bound by what the music may be "listed for".
The sackbut is a trombone from the Renaissance and Baroque eras, i.e., a musical instrument in the brass family similar to the trumpet
