*Graduated high school in Bonifay, Florida from Holmes County High School in 1967. Enlisted in the United States Navy.

*Honorably Discharged from US Navy in September 1969.

*Began his songwriting/recording artist career in Hollywood, California in 1969. First recording session was in Capitol Records in Hollywood. Had single record releases on BJB Record and Bee Gee Records. Co-wrote and had tracks on the soundtrack album for the movie 'The Last of the American Hobos'.

*Signed with Milene Music Inc. of the Nashville, Tennessee - Acuff-Rose Music Inc. group of publishing companies in 1974.

*While living in Nashville he had single record releases; 'Little Did We Know', 'Peanut Man', 'Mother Nature', 'An Old Framer House', 'They Slew the Dreamer', 'Take My Hand Precious Lord' and the album release 'Revel'.

*With Mary Noel he co-wrote the controversial song about the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr., 'They Slew The Dreamer'. The song concludes that 'They' killed Martin Luther King Jr. rather than 'He-James Earl Ray' killed Martin Luther King Jr.
