This is partially true. Where Ke$ha lied however, is that it was in fact $tephen who was 14 at the time their relationship started. They met on an online video game, and Ke$ha found that she was instantly addicted to his company, and by the time she had fallen more or less head over heels for him (which she adamantly insisted "never happens" to her) it was too late to pump the breaks when she realized he was a minor. In an effort to push the little boy away, she claimed that she had been impregnated in high-school and was a single mother.

At this point $tephen had been living for his 18th birthday, and was crushed when after he had made an effort NOT to have plans, the blocked number stopped calling him right around his birthday - and he was still sore. As a way of telling her no, he wrote the song "Through the Window" about their relationship - explaining that he loved her as much as anyone could, when they could only see their partner through a barrier (the internet).
