Robert O'Connor is an Irish singer-songwriter. He released his debut single "Spend The Night/Ten Years Time" in November 2006. His first album, 'Distance', produced by Steve Hogan, Fionan deBarra, Billy Farrell and Mourad Bouchina, was released via Universal Music/Matchbox Recordings alongside it's lead single "How Many Times (Can We Say Goodbye?)" in April 2008. The album received positive reviews in Ireland but failed commercially. After releasing one further digital single "Killing Kind", a cover of the Shelby Lynne track and a duet with Moroccan singer Aziza el Messaoudi, Robert withdrew from the music industry for three years.

He returned in November 2011 with a new single entitled "Older" produced by NDT productions, which was intended to re-introduce him to the public. The track reached number two on the Unsigned Music Charts and remained in the Top 10 for six weeks. In March 2012 he released a new EP 'Resistance' to wide critical acclaim from internet blogs and publications in the UK, US and Ireland, but once again the EP failed to succeed commercially, possibly due to lack of promotion and funding from a major record label. Two further singles were released from the EP: "Over" and the free download "Too Late", which was a double A-side together with "Save You", a recording from a 2007 session in Amsterdam with Mourad Bouchiba for the 'Distance' album. The track is a MASH-up of Robert's original lyrics together with the music of Chicane's "Saltwater".

In late 2012 it was revealed that there would be a new EP of remixes entitled 'Reincarnated: The Remixes' containing new takes on tracks from the Resistance EP. The release was confirmed in January 2013 along with the premiere of a new single, a remix of the 'Resistance' track "Too Late" in a commercial dance form.
