Who is Ron Brunk?

Ron Brunk is an eccentric entertainer, singer, guitarist, and artist; and a prolific writer of songs, poetry, short stories and novels. Much of his work is considered "underground" and he has developed a cult following, with little commercial success. His dark humor and tongue-in-cheek approach sometimes offends the narrow-minded sector of the population, and has occasionally brought him trouble with the Law.

Brunk's most recent location was Nashville, TN, where he dabbled in the Country Music industry, working with such notables as Paul Allen, Rodney Crowell, Skyline Music, Kenny Greenberg, Johnny Rabb, Debbie Zavitson, Glenn Worf and Chad Cromwell. Brunk and Paul Allen performed as a duo from 2001-2007.

Ron Brunk has written and recorded hundreds of Country songs, co-writing with some of the industry's biggest stars, and having some regional song placement success. Most importantly, Brunk recorded seven full-length record albums/CDs which chronicle his growth as an Artist:

With a background in computer science, cartography and database analysis, Brunk also concurrently held two prestigious positions outside the music industry:

(1) Manager of the high-profile Experimental Multistrata Gas Well Research Project for Mountain State University, funded by the US Department of Energy via Senator Robert C. Byrd. The Project drilled the first Multistrata well of its kind in the world, a well producing natural gas from conventional gas seams and coal seams in the same well bore. It also drilled the first coal gas well ever permitted in the State of West Virginia, and helped pave the way for the commercial capture and use of coal seam methane around the world;

(2) Manager of GIS/Mapping Services and Director of Marketing for Mr. Austin Caperton at Caperton Energy, serving a variety of Fortune 500 clients in the Coal, Natural Gas, Railroad, and Utilities Industries.

Brunk's health issues have at times been clouded in obscurity, but it is known that he battles Anxiety Disorders, Panic Attacks, Fibromyalgia, and Depression. Beginning in 2006, he suffered the first of several massive, life-threatening intestinal bleeds, which required blood transfusions and hospitalization. The cause of these bleeds remains a mystery.

Brunk's personal life has sometimes been the source of amusement to many, and even ridicule for some. He married and divorced the same woman three times, the third time in Las Vegas accompanied by an Elvis impersonator. That sometimes stormy relationship produced three children who have become happy and successful world travelers and adventurers.

Brunk was well-known for his consumption of large quantities of Absolut vodka in the mid-90's, often drinking a fifth of vodka per day for months at a time. It has been confirmed by some who were close to him during those years, that he often carried a Smith & Wesson 9mm, an old Colt .45 caliber 9-shot, and a .22 Baretta pistol on his person.
