All of the songs that have been done by Guns 'n' Roses have been written by members of the band apart from the odd cover song. However, there has never been any song written by all of the members of the group at any one time, even though the sleeve notes on 'Appetite for Destruction' claim this. The band credited all of the songs like this because the drummer (Steven Addler) didn't write anything at all yet still wanted a share of the credits.
Also, some were co-written by friends of the band who weren't in it, like Yesterdays.

Yes there are a lot more cover songs by G'n'R's. Have you heard of their album titled The Spaghetti Incident. This is a whole album of Punk covers. It even features a song written by Charles Manson, it's not listed on the track list. But it's the last song on the album. It was on Charles Manson's album titled LIES and it's named Look At Your Game,Girl.Wiki User

∙ 12y agoyes, the band wrote all of their songs including, sweet child o' mine, welcome to the jungle, paradise city, November rain etc however their covers of live and let die and knocking on heavens door were written by the orgianal artists - hope this helps :)
