The fuel filter is more than likely clogged with debris picked up from the bottom of the tank when you ran out of fuel. A partially clogged fuel filter will burn out your fuel pump in short order. Purchase a can of starter fluid and a new fuel filter for you Jeep. Install the new filter and use the starter fluid to get it started.
Have you checked the fuel pump? It sounds to me like it is getting hot after running for so long and starting to shut down.
i had the same problem in my 96 jeep Cherokee check to see if your auxilary fan is shot if you are undable to tell just simply unplug the fan and give it a shot this solved my problem
well i`ve had my own question answered, yes this does mean that my fuel pump wasn`t working correctly, therefor, when you bang on the gas tank and it turns over and starts, this means that your fuel pump is going out. also found out that when your fuel filter is bad, it will just shut the car off when you are driving down the road.. hope i can help someone else
Why Is the fan is not running fast enough to cool down the motor? On A Jeep grand Cherokee Laredo 202
its god is gonna cut you down by johnny cash
you need to change the fuel pump shut down relay
You should start your signal as soon as you start to slow down for the turn. Therefore, turns at higher speed are notified sooner than turns at lower speed. Source: BMW Driving School
it is either the erg valve or the timing is off.

You may have an electrical problem and it does not get hot enough setting while running. Try driving it untel it quits then have another person check spark while you try to start.

Maybe the computer,is happening with my 98,Fuel system ok ,batt ok.
fuel system... likely injector
push the emercency breaks down when car is off
It goes up while driving and down when you're idle....that's normal
If you are not driving up or down hills, or in start & stop traffic, bad weather etc. I wouldn't recommend it.
