Check the fuse for the instrument lights, it may be blown. Another possibility is that you have inadvertently turned the instrument lights off. You can Rotate the headlight switch to adjust the instrument light brightness or to turn them off altogether.
Yes, under the dash
replace fuse
check the fuse on the wires on your radio, there is a separate wire for the display lights that should be wired to your dash lights
The instrument cluster lights have their own fuse. It's a 5 amp at the bottom center of the fuse block. When the lights are on, the radio draws lamp power from the instrument cluster. This allows you to dim the brightness of the radio display with the other internal lamps.
I am having this same problem. The lights for the license plate don't work either. I have had two mechanics suggest to me that I replace the HeadLight Switch. I am thinking about ordering one on Monday.
i dont no
Not likely as they're 2 totally different bodystyles
rpo #9c1 police package with dash switch near radio
Under the dash and to the left of the steering column.
Remove the whole front panel, and get a manual on how to re-do the whole dash interior.
Yes you can order 1 from Dakota digital for about 650
left side, under dash left of steering column
If there is no light at all in whole dash. first check the fuse second check the headlight control switch.
Probably the dash fuse is blown, or the dimmer switch for the dash lights is bad!
Check for a loose ground wire - sounds like lights are backfeeding searching for ground
It is under the dash on the driver's side between the steering wheel and the kick panel.
