I would like to know this too, My car does the same thing but only when it's cold outside and only for a few seconds at a time. It's a steady hoot sound
Liquid mercury can conduct electricity, it's what makes mercury thermostats work. As for solid mercury, it conducts electricity in solid phase as all metals do.
Only one planet mercury so I guess that makes it rare
Mercury is an element. Mercury is purely made up of mercury atoms.
It is the closest planet to the Sun. Real close.
The most abundant gas on Mercury is oxygen, which makes up about 42% of its atmosphere. Other gases found on Mercury include sodium, hydrogen, helium, and potassium.
The thermostat gasket for a 1990 Mercury Grand Marquis is the standard "paper" type gasket, and a good RTV silicone is recommended. Permatex makes a sealant well-suited for the purpose - it's called "Water Pump and Thermostat Housing Sealant". You can also use similar sealants, such as Permatex Ultra Grey, Ultra Blue, or Ultra Black.
maybe it sensed that it wasnt as dark as it was an hour ago, there are two ways to turn your head lights on in a mercury grand marquis, at least my 92-93. you can pull the headlight switch which makes them stay on, or you can turn the small nob button to your right to do the light sense headlights. hope this helpsAnswerOverload in system? Circuit breaker cycling?
Could be a variety of causes, but as with most cars, the top three suspects will be: old and inefficient radiator, insufficient water IN the radiator, failed thermostat governing the point at which the cooling fan cuts in.
It sounds like you need a new serpentine fan belt.
Check the condition of the accessory drive serpentine belt, belt idler pulley and belt tensioner pulley bearings.
Ask your local plumber for some of his scrap copper. Trust me, it makes great exhaust.
Mercury was a division of Ford
Get ready ... your blend door for your heat/ac is about to break. Pray it stops on AC if you live in a hot climate. Or, take it to an AC shop and have them replace it before it totally breaks.
No, he is not. His arrogance is what makes him throw the pennies.
Your 1997 Mercury uses a spin on cartridge filter. The gasket is built into the filter. Just apply a thin layer of oil to the new filter gasket and screw it on. Tighten 3/4 turn after it makes contact with the mounting surface. Do not over tighten. If the old gasket was left on when you removed the old filter just pull it off.
It could be several things but , check your catalytic converter because if it is bad it wont let your car run because the air flow is restricted and makes it appear to be something serious
I'll bet the fuel pump makes noise when the engine is running on the road too. You just can't hear it then. It's possible you have a bearing getting ready to seize up. I think I would replace the fuel pump now before it leaves you walking.
