I suffer from an upper BPI due to a motorcycle accident in 2005. I had a nerve transfer surgery at UCLA in 2006. The surgery didn't not work, so I continued with physical therapy hoping to get as much use of my arm as possible. During that time I would search the internet for any news about stem cells being used for BPI, but found nothing. Last week I found an organization dedicated to searching the world for the best stem cell treatment centers depending on a persons medical needs http:/wwwzperiodzrepairstemcellszperiodzorg I didn't find any information regarding BPI, but I emailed them anyway hoping they could help. I talked to Don Margolis who is the founder of Repair Stem Cells, and he told me there where only two treatment centers in the world that has treated BPI with stem cells. One center is in Israel, which he said was the best and the other is in China. Don also told me this type of treatment for BPI wouldn't be available in the US for at least 10 years. I am still waiting for more information from Don about these two centers. Don said that I would have to send my medical records and MRIs to the doctors of these centers for their review and treatment diagnosis. My travel to one of these centers will depending on their diagnosis. I posted this answer to let others know there is hope. If you are interested in possible treatments for BPI than I would contact Don. Good luck to you!

What begin to stretch across the cell in prophase?

Chromosomes begin to condense and become visible in prophase. These condensed chromosomes start to align along the center of the cell, forming the mitotic spindle, which consists of microtubules that stretch across the cell.

What are nerve ganglions give examples?

A ganglion is a cluster of nerve cells found in the peripheral and central nervous system. The main components of the ganglion are a cell body called the somata and associated dendritic structures. Ganglia often connect with each other to form a complex network called the plexus. In addition to the ganglion of the peripheral nervous system, there are also parts of the brain that contains a cluster of interconnected nuclei called the "basal ganglia" or "basal nuclei". Basal ganglia are found in the cerebral cortex, thalamus and brainstem and is associated with several key functions including motor control, emotions, cognition and learning. There are major nerve plexuses (off the spinal cord) 1. Cervical plexus - innervates the diaphragm "The primary danger of a 'broken neck' is that the phrenic nerve may have been severed, leading to paralysis, cessation of breathing and death …" 2. Brachial plexus 1. Axillary nerve 2. Radial nerve 3. Median nerve 4. Musculocutaneous nerve 5. Ulnar nerve These move arm and fingers 3. Lumbar plexus Movement of legs 4. Sacral plexus Movement of feet

What is the nature of cell wall in collenchyma?

The cell wall in collenchyma is composed of cellulose, hemicellulose, and pectin. It is thickened at the corners and provides structural support and flexibility to the plant tissue. Collenchyma cells are elongated and have unevenly thickened cell walls, providing strength and allowing them to stretch as the plant grows.

How do growing plant cells primarily elongate?

Growing plant cells primarily elongate through a process called cell expansion, where water enters the cell through osmosis, creating internal pressure against the cell wall. The pressure causes the cell wall to stretch, allowing the cell to elongate and grow. The orientation and arrangement of cellulose microfibrils in the cell wall also play a role in cell elongation.
