No.
Global warming is putting more energy into the atmosphere (and the oceans). This energy is changing the climate, but it doesn't always become warmer.
The big freeze that came to the US in January 2014 happened because an area of high pressure (and mild temperatures) in North East Canada and Greenland blocked the path of the freezing polar vortex which circles round the North Pole in winter. So the freezing winds of the polar vortex were forced south, right down into the US.
At the same time that this was happening, Greenland had above average temperatures, and on the other side of the world, the southern parts of Australia had a record breaking heat-wave of several days over 110°F (43°C).
Ocean currents, both hot and cold, affect the nearby countries. If these currents stop, or change temperature or direction, (because the warming ocean is changing too, just like the atmosphere) then the countries they pass will become hotter or colder.
Europe has always been warmer than Canada at similar latitudes because of the warm waters of the Gulf Stream (coming from the Gulf of Mexico). If this warm current changes, Northern Europe may become much colder.
Summers will be hotter, and Winter will .. be warmer amd the SNOW WILL MELT FASTER (nooo!)
Yes, Ukraine has global warming, like everywhere in the world. It is not so obvious yet in some of the colder countries, but warmer countries have been breaking temperature records for several recent years.
Global warming refers to the long-term warming trend of the Earth's climate system, which is driven by increased levels of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. While the planet is warming overall, this doesn't mean that every single location will experience warmer temperatures all the time. Cold weather in a specific location at a specific time does not negate the broader trend of global warming.
Icebergs are made of ice and since the greenhouse gases are making the earth warmer the icebergs are melting.
Global means all over the world, world wide. Scientists found that the average temperature all over the world was rising. The earth is getting warmer. So that's where "global warming" comes from.
Global warming is actually making us warmer in summer but is colder in winter
Global warming is true. The world is actually getting warmer, and will continue to do so.
Global warming is the same thing as greenhouse effects. They trap a lot of heat and lets the remaining heat get away into space. Therefore, global warming heats up the Earth making it warmer.
Global warming would make the earth warmer. However, some parts, for example, Britain, may become colder for a while, especially if the Gulf Stream cools or slows.
global warming mostly affect the polar bears which live in the Arctic which is cold, and is getting warmer by time due to global warming. So polar bears a turning into an endangered species and people are designing them on Coke cans to help them. :)
More recent hurricanes Warmer day change in rainfall patterns
We don't know. Global warming may cause the Gulf Stream, which keeps the UK warm, to slow or stop. This would make Britain colder than it is now. However, if global warming continues Britain will then become warmer and warmer. There may be more rain or less rain. All this will cause problems for farmers and agriculture.
The Gulf Stream has a warming effect on the climate of the UK. (See links below)
No, Hurricane Katrina caused flooding and terrible damage to humans and property, but it did not cause global warming. Global warming is caused among other things by man burning fossil fuels (coal, oil and natural gas) and putting greenhouse gases into the atmosphere.
Greenhouse gases in the atmosphere catch and hold the sun's heat. These gases are building up as we burn fossil fuels. The more gas there is the warmer it gets. This is causing global warming.
Summers will be hotter, and Winter will .. be warmer amd the SNOW WILL MELT FASTER (nooo!)
Global warming doesnt exist you idiot hippies!
