They flew it there aboard a spacecraft. The first spacecraft to launch a lunar rover was the Soviet Luna 17, towards the end of 1970. The first American lunar rover landed a year later by Apollo 15. I believe it was lowered to the surface via a folding ramp.
A rover is a type of space probe designed to move around on the surface of a moon or planet. Rovers are equipped with wheels or tracks for mobility and are controlled remotely from Earth or by onboard computers. Examples of rovers include NASA's Mars rovers like Curiosity and Perseverance.
there are 2 rovers they are called Phoenix and spirit ******************************************** Uh-Oh! Phoenix and Spirit are the names of two rovers on MARS, not our moon! Spirit began operations in 2004, but became stuck in soft soil in 2010 and after many attempts to extricate itself and dwindling power from its solar cells finally left it unresponsive, communications were terminated in 2011. The Mars rover "Opportunity", Spirit's twin, is still active as of early 2012. The Phoenix rover began operations in 2008, but failed to communicate after the Mars winter of 2009 - 2010 and was declared "dead" in May 2010. Photographs from the Mars orbiter "Odyssey" showed considerable damage to the rover, probably partially crushed by heavy snow and ice accumulation during the winter. The rover was not designed to survive the expected harsh winter conditions on Mars. Another Mars rover named "Sojourner" began operations in 1997, and returned data for three months, well beyond its design lifetime. Sojourner is still on Mars. However, the three American Lunar Roving Vehicles which each carried two astronauts on extra-vehicular explorations during Project Apollo Missions 15, 16 and 17 during 1971 through 1972 are still on the moon. The unmanned Russian lunar rovers "Lunokhod 1 & 2" landed on the moon in 1970 and 1973 respectively, and both are still up there.
well so far the closest we can get to is the moon and mars the moon has no life but rover has come back with picture of life form so we don't realy no but im pretty shure there is no other people on other planets ps: hope this helped
The Mars Rover was not discovered it was invented.
The first Land Rover sent to Mars was the Mars rover named "Sojourner," which was part of the Mars Pathfinder mission launched by NASA in 1996. It landed on Mars on July 4, 1997, and was the first rover to successfully operate on the Martian surface.
Yes, the moon rover remains on the moon's surface. The moon rover's mission is to explore and gather data about the lunar environment, and it does not return to Earth.
It was called the Lunar Rover.
a moon rover
Type your answer here... rover(moon rover)
The moon rover was developed by Boeing, a US aerospace company, under the leadership of NASA. The Lunar Roving Vehicle (LRV) was used during the Apollo missions to allow astronauts to explore the surface of the moon.
A rover brings tools and objects to the moon but it does not bring people.
The chicken.
The Apollo 15 astronauts rode a lunar rover on the moon in 1971.

There are hundreds of parts to a lunar rover .. . too many to list here.
