Exercising releases endorphins -Endorphins are natural pain relievers that your body produces in physical activity such as running and lifting weights. -Exercise also boosts your metabolism and energy levels. Metabolism is the rate that your body dissolves food and changes it into energy witch will increase your energy level.
During physical activity, the body uses ATP (adenosine triphosphate) stored in muscles for immediate energy. If the activity continues, the body breaks down glycogen stored in the muscles and liver to produce more ATP for sustained energy.
Exercise helps to increase the production and release of endorphins. This is part of the sympathetic response of the body also sometimes called the flight-or-fright response that prepares the body for coping with danger. In the case of endorphins they reduce the sensation of pain so the person can keep fighting or running away hopefully long enough to reduce or eliminate the stressful threat, or just a normal result of physical activity is that some endorphins will be released. Sometimes this is called the 'runner's high.'

Endorphins provide one with the "runners high" or the emotional uplifting one gets after finishing a workout, which will usually last for hours after the activity. Physical activity, along with a good diet, can prevent numerous lifestyle disease such as diabetes 2, as well as help treat/reduce the severity of others, such as asthma. It cannot be stressed how important physical activity is to the human body, and when done correctly only has positive effects.
