Comets are icy bodies in space that release gas and dust. They are often compared to dirty snowballs, though recent research has led some scientists to call them dirty snowballs. Comets contain dust, ice, carbon dioxide, ammonia, methane and more.
The tail of a comet is over a million miles long.
The path of a comet around the sun would depend on its mass, speed, and trajectory. It a comet enters the sun's gravitational field at the correct trajectory and speed, it would fall into a roughly circular orbit.
Assuming you were born on Earth, you would not age on Halley's comet as it does not have the necessary conditions for human life, such as air, water, and a suitable temperature.
The nucleus of a comet is the solid, icy core of the comet. It is composed of a mixture of ice, rock, dust, and organic compounds. As a comet gets closer to the Sun, the heat causes the nucleus to release gas and dust, forming the characteristic coma and tail of the comet.
Assuming the comet is far away in the outer solar system, it would take light approximately 8 minutes to reach Earth from the Sun, and then more time to reach the comet depending on its distance. Traveling at the speed of light, it would take a few minutes to several hours or more to get from Earth to a comet, depending on its specific location in space.
I would say not because of the comet's course and trajectory of the comet you would need a good telescope to see it.
Halley didn't exactly find the comet named after him; doing calculations on the basis of several observations, he calculated the orbit and predicted when the comet would return. This was confirmed - the comet returned - after his death.Halley didn't exactly find the comet named after him; doing calculations on the basis of several observations, he calculated the orbit and predicted when the comet would return. Depends on how big the Comet is.
Not sure if it was the first time the comet was known as Hayley's Comet but he was born during it's appearance. Mark Twain sad he would not die until he saw it again, he died the day after its next appeared.
Comet dishwashers are no longer sold. As of November 2012, the comet company have stopped selling products. It would be advised to research other dishwashers as the Comet dishwashers are discontinued.
Halleyâ??s comet is named after English astronomer Edmond Halley. Halley examined reports of a comet approaching Earth in 1531, 1607 and 1682 and concluded that these three comets were actually the same comet returning over and over again. He then predicted the comet would come again in 1758.
Use phenomenon to describe something out of the ordinary like.. Hally's Comet which comes to pass Earth every.. like 76 years like: It was a phenomenon to watch the legendary Hally's Comet the night it passed over our sky. or describe a legendary sports athlete or something.
If a comet hits the ground than the gravity will be greater or lesser?
No. The only way a comet could cause a catastrophe would be if it collided with Earth. The orbit of Halley's Comet keeps it at a safe distance from us.
In Kannada, we would say:Dhoomaketu
A trail of disintegrating particles.
Because it looks like it has long hair trailing behind it.
