The Central/Mountain time zone demarcation like runs though the middle of North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, cutting into Kansas then along the border of Kansas and Colorado, then back into Kansas to Oklahoma where the line goes west to the New Mexico state line then goes along the New Mexico/Oklahoma and New Mexico/Texas borders until it reaches the "horn" of Texas. Then, after cutting west along the NM/TX border it goes through Texas to the Mexico border leaving El Paso and a couple of neighboring counties in TX in mountain time.
