What is equatorial low pressure?

in equitorial low pressure belt , low pressure is due to 1) intense heating 2) rate of rotation of earth is max. at equator . this results in max centrifugal force at equator which pushes the air away from the surface and causes low pressure condition.

Will 2 degree water at 300 psi boil if the pressure is released?

Since the triple point of water is at 0.01 °C you could certainly boil water if you released the pressure and allowed it to drop low enough. In this case "low enough" would be down around 10 mbar (0.01 bar).

Will a hurricane get stronger if its eye's pressure drops?

Well this is a twofold answer because pressure itself does not mean anything when it comes to wind but rather pressure gradient or how fast the pressure drops over a given area. The faster the pressure drops over a small area the stronger the wind is forced to blow. Now lets take 2 examples here: atmospheric pressure 915 mb pressure drop: 25 mb Distance: 100 miles pressure drop/mile = 1/4 mb atmospheric pressure: 990 mb pressure drop: 25 mb Distance: 100 miles pressure drop/mile = 1/4 mb in these 2 situations the wind would blow the same speed. However like most situations the standard air pressure outside of the system would be around the same pressure or around 1010 mb so if we have the same 2 storms again but one of the storms is much larger then the other storm here is the result: atmospheric pressure 915 mb pressure drop: 95 mb Distance: 380 miles pressure drop/mile = 1/4 mb atmospheric pressure: 990 mb pressure drop: 20 mb Distance: 80 miles pressure drop/mile = 1/4 mb Again the wind speed would be the same since we are still falling at 1/4 mb per mile. So atmospheric pressure, storm size, surrounding air pressure, and other factors all come into play here... however if you had 2 of the same sized storms in the same atmospheric conditions but one had a pressure of 915 mb and the other had an air pressure of 990 mb the one with the 915 would have a higher wind speed due to a higher pressure gradient.

Global weather patterns are fueled by convection currents In which 2 places?

Global weather patterns are primarily fueled by convection currents in the tropics and the polar regions. In the tropics, warm air rises near the equator, creating low-pressure areas that drive storms and precipitation. In contrast, polar regions experience colder air sinking, leading to high-pressure systems that influence weather patterns. These convection processes help distribute heat and moisture around the planet, shaping climate and weather systems globally.

What is the pressure at the surface of Mercury in N per m2?

If you're referring to atmospheric pressure, then it's zero.Mercury has no atmosphere.

What are the four major air pressure zones?

The four major air pressure zones are the Polar High, Subtropical High, Equatorial Low, and Subpolar Low. These zones are characterized by their distinct atmospheric pressures and play a significant role in shaping global weather patterns.

How do scientists predict weather by using a barometer?

Very simply put, cold air is denser than warm air - thus as air of differing temperature passes over you (or rather your barometer) the barometric pressure will change. The arrival of warm air will cause the barometric pressure to fall and as warm air holds more moisture than cold air a falling barometric pressure will herald the arrival of rain. Conversely, if the pressure rises this will indicate some nice sunny days to come Further, if the pressure falls (or rises) fast, then there are likely to be strong winds.

What causes the air conditioning to go out in a 1998 Jeep Wrangler after 10 minutes of operation?

2 reasons for the system to cut out, low pressure, and high pressure. I am thinking you are experiencing low pressure and need to recharge your system.

What causes low oil pressure?

Faulty sensor, low oil level, thin oil, plugged filter, worn bearings, worn pump,...........ANS 2 - A faulty sensor can not cause low oil pressure.

What 2 spheres cause hurricanes?

Hurricanes are caused by the interaction between the atmosphere and the ocean. Specifically, they are formed when warm air rises from the ocean's surface, creating low pressure at the center of the storm system. This interaction leads to the development of the swirling winds and intense storms characteristic of hurricanes.

Where is the low pressure adaptor for a 1998 Malibu v6?

where is the AC low pressure valve locted? check on passengers side, between firewall and engine, about 1 to 2 ft down!! the cap has a (L) on it!!

How do you identify the low pressure side of the AC on a 1999 Mercury Tracer?

usually the "fatter" hose is the low side its is the smaller port of the 2

What is classed as high or low blood pressure?

Blood pressure at or above 140/90 is considered high blood pressure. Conversely, pressures below 100/60 (or in some cases, 90/60) are considered low blood pressure.

How do atmospheric pressure zones and ocean currents affect earth's energy balance?

Warm temp create area of low atmospheric pressure on the Earth's surface while area of high pressure r generated when temp r relatively cold. Once established, the thermal gradient then develops a flow of air that goes from high 2 low pressure
