It can be said, certainly in education, that science branches into physics, chemistry and Biology.

Physics studies forces and the way the world the works, allowing us to make predictions on what will happen under certain cercumstances.

Chemistry studies the behaviour of chemicals and the workings of chemical analysis and synthesis, allowing us to create materials and substances that don't occur naturally.

Biology studys the behaviour of living processes, allowing us to treat various diseases and predict the behaviour of plants and animals.

But it has been said that Biology is a small part of chemistry, which is a small part of physics, which is a small part of maths.
